Can essential oils break down your esophagus like they do plastic?

I’m sure you may have heard that essential oils should not be placed in plastic containers. You see, essential oils break down toxic chemicals. Some plastics like your classic water bottle are low grade. Therefore full of toxic chemicals. So yes, oils like lemon can break them down.

But what happens when you drink said lemon oil in say a glass container of water? Will it break down your esophagus too? NO! Like I said, essential oils break down TOXIC chemicals. Your esophagus is not made up of toxic chemicals. We do however ingest, breathe, and absorbe toxins throughout the day. That is why taking essential oils, like lemon internally hold out incredible benefits in aiding the body in detoxification.

For example, lemon essential oil can break down petrochemicals. Petrochemicals in one form or another can be found in lubricants, additives, adhesives, sealants, agrochemicals, cosmetics, food flavourings and additives, fragrances, toothpaste, cleaning agents, inks, packaging and more. Many “health” care products and pharmaceuticals also contain petrochemicals. So what's the big deal? Well, they build up in the body over time and have the potential to cause some serious problems! Like silently disrupting endocrine function. The endocrine system controls hormones in your body. Hormones control most functions in your body and too much or too little of specific hormones can cause massive problems from learning disabilities to cancer.
There are many ways to limit your exposure to these harmful toxins. Lemon essential oil is one of them!

So feel safe and confident in taking your Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade lemon essential oil internally. Just make sure to use a glass, stainless steel, or high quality plastic (1 or 2) container. Bottles up!
